There are so many ways to reuse materials that we typically throw away after our initial use! For example, you could have printed something out and noticed an error.
Typically, most of us will just reprint it and throw away the paper with errors; however, we could use that paper for scratch work, homework, making a list, or even writing reminders!
Additionally, individuals can use reusable bags rather than plastic bags for a variety of things! Generally, about a million plastic bags are used every minute, which is extremely detrimental to the environment.
Plastic bags produce toxic waste because they are photodegradable instead of biodegradable, which means that they soak up toxins, which further contaminates soil, rivers, and streams.
Another thing that we can reuse is used jars from peanut butter, jelly, jam, etc.! These jars can be used to hold objects such as pencils, pens, etc. or they can be used to hold soil to grow plants!
Lastly, we can reuse old shirts by either donating them or making them into pillow cases or blankets!
